Hello, hope you 105-rians are having a splendid holiday! But do not 4get to keep clean too, as you know, the arrival of H1N1 is realli scary. You may wan to look thru the following tips.
Tips*
~Be properly educated and informed about the latest news and research from credible, reliable sources and not by word of mouth. Misinformation is commonly found in the media, especially on the Internet. Search governmental and health institution websites such as National Institutes of Health and
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the latest information on the H1N1 virus.
~Be safe and take precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. Practice personal hygiene protocols like washing your hands properly and covering your mouth or turning your head when coughing or sneezing. Cleanliness is going to be your new motto until this whole mess passes by. Washing your hands in hot water for more then 20 seconds will kill some of the germs that could potentially be passed from person to person. Another method of washing your hands with alcohol based sanitizer is known to kill a high percentage of germs that we carry as well. It is important that we all do our best to cover the basics during this time.
~ Drink more water(haze)
~Speak to a doctor if you suspect you or another person might have been exposed to the H1N1 virus and are exhibitng "flu-like" symptoms.
~Be sensible and have perspective on the current situation. Public transportation and traveling to other states and coutries is safe, except there will be an increased risk in specific regions and countries. Mexico, as you know, is considered to be the epicenter for the source outbreak of the H1N1 virus, so don't travel there unless you have to. It is still safe, however, to take public transportation including trains, subways, buses and airplanes.
~Avoid at all costs traveling to any known parts of the world that are infected. Although this is very basic you must know that there are strands of the disease that are airborne and just being in the immediate presence of the flu can infect you.
Dat's abt it, Enjoy the rest of your holidays! XD
